Many people aren’t really fond of spiders, but instead of killing them, think twice and let them live.  Spiders an actually be pretty helpful.  As long as the spiders aren’t hurting you or ending up in places you really don’t want them, such as your bed, live and let live.  You see, spiders are some of the best forms of pest control.  Instead of using pesticides around your home, allowing the spiders to live can do the trick.

There are actually a variety of different benefits to having spiders around your home.  Not only will you find that spiders can help to cut down on pests around your home, but they are also very useful in a variety of other ways as well.  The venom from spiders is actually used in many different types of medications that are made, used as a base.  The silk from their webs is actually used in some types of optical devices as well.  It is so strong that it is actually compared to the same strength of Kevlar.

While you may not want to leave any of the poisonous spiders in your home, other types of spiders can be easily caught and then put outside so that they can still get rid of the pests for you around your home.  An easy way that you can catch these spiders is to knock them down gently onto your floor.  Then use a bowl or a cup to cover them, sliding a piece of paper or cardboard under the container that you used.  Simply flip over the container and then put the spider out into your yard or garden.

You can purchase spider catchers as well, that will easily help you to catch a spider.  These catchers allow you to get under the furniture, to reach most ceilings, and to even get into corners to catch spiders.  The contraption for catching spiders has bristles on it.  They are open when you are trying to catch the spider.  When you let go of the trigger, the bristles close up around the spider very gently.  This way you don’t hurt the spider but you are able to catch it and release it outdoors without killing it.

The great thing about these spider catcher contraptions is that you can use them on more than just spiders.  They can help you to catch various other bugs that are in your home.  While some bugs you may not want to let live around your home, the good bugs can be easily caught and then released outside without a problem.  Investing in one of these catchers may be a great idea so you can keep the spiders around to keep other pests under control.
