Sure, you want to get rid of those weeds in your yard or in the cracks in the sidewalk outdoors. However, you don’t want to blast the environment with nasty chemicals either.  There is another way!  You can use earth friendly weed killer instead of using chemicals to eliminate weeds.  In fact, water is the best option.

Of course, you can’t just water the garden and expect the weeds to die.  What you need to do is take some water, then boil it, and use it on the weeds that are along the path or driveway.  This is a simple solution, and there are other earth friendly weed killer options that you can use as well.

Another great idea for killing off weeds is strong saline salt solution.  If you have a gravel driveway and you want to get rid of weeds, then this is a great option.  Of course, you don’t want to use it near other plants that you want to keep alive.  Make a salt solution and use it on the weeds.  It will kill off the weeds and keep them from growing in that area again.

White vinegar also can help you kill off weeds in an earth friendly way.  Vinegar works on many different weeds that you will come across.  To get the best effect, apply vinegar to weeds on a day that is sunny and use it carefully so you only get it on the weeds that you want to kill.

Even lemon juice can be an earth friendly weed killer.  It effectively kills off all kinds of weeds.  The great thing is that it breaks down fast as well, which is definitely important.

You will find that there are some commercial products out there that are green as well.  One good option is glyphosate, which will break down very fast.  It is effective and cheap, and it isn’t as bad as some of the other weed killer options that are out there.  To make sure that you keep the environmental impact at a minimum, only use the product as directed.  Using more of the product is not going to make the weeds die off any faster, so use this product very sparingly.

It is definitely a better option to work at preventing weeds so you don’t have to use any type of weed killer.  Mulch is one of the best options that you can use.  It also provides some great nutrients to your plants and you won’t have to water as much either.  Another option is to pull out the weeds by hand, which is a great way to get some exercise as well.

You don’t have to go with weed killers full of nasty chemicals.  There are plenty of eco friendly options to choose from.  So, instead of polluting your garden or other areas with chemical weed killers, use some of these suggestions and tips.
