So many people have the natural reflex to head to their local beauty shop, drug store, or department store for a fancy facemask in order to enhance their beauty.  The thing is though; you do not need to waste your time, your money, or your environment to have the fresh and smooth skin you have always wanted.

When you think of honey, do you think facemask or topping for your toast?  If you think of both, then you are on the right track.  Honey is chopped full of incredible properties that allow it to be considered the best natural facemask treatment out there.  Even with the most sensitive of skin, honey works perfectly, as long as you are not allergic to the sweet nectar of course.

The reason the honey, pure honey and nothing else, is good for your skin is because of the antioxidants and the fact that it is hygroscopic.  Hygroscopic means that it will naturally absorb moisture from air when it is exposed to it.

While there are many different recipes for natural facemasks that use honey, using nothing but honey is said to be the best.  All you have to do is to apply the honey directly to your face.  Your skin can be dry or it can be slightly moist.  Allow the honey to sit on your face for at least twenty minutes and you can allow it to remain there for up to an hour if you would like.

Simply wash it off when you are done and you will most likely find that you will be able to feel some results right away.  Your skin is left soft and healthy.  Honey is also said to be able to take care of some nasty blemishes as well so if you want to do some daily spot treatments for acne, by all means go ahead and do so.

Now, in terms of what kind or brand of honey you should use, any will work.  There are those who say though that Manuka honey works the best for facial masks.  If you are looking to make sure that you are getting the absolute best results each time, you might want to go ahead and give the Manuka honey a try.

With honey facemasks, you know that you will have nothing but good results since honey is all-natural.  There is no need to worry about burns from harsh chemicals or products that hurt the environment.  If it is good enough to eat, it is good enough for your skin.  Apply the facemask two to four times a week and you will have soft glowing skin that you will simply love before you know it.
